D-Link DIR-850L REV. A (with firmware through FW114WWb07_h2ab_beta1) and REV. B (with firmware through FW208WWb02) devices have 0666 /var/etc/hnapasswd permissions.
The BIOS in Intel NUC systems based on 6th Gen Intel Core processors prior to version KY0045 may allow may allow an attacker with physical access to the system to gain access to personal information.
The BIOS in Intel NUC systems based on 6th Gen Intel Core processors prior to version SY0059 may allow may allow an attacker with physical access to the system to gain access to personal information.
The do_shmat function in ipc/shm.c in the Linux kernel through 4.9.12 does not restrict the address calculated by a certain rounding operation, which allows local users to map page zero, and consequently bypass a protection mechanism that exists for the mmap system call, by making crafted shmget and shmat system calls in a privileged context.
Huawei P7 before P7-L00C17B851, P7-L05C00B851, and P7-L09C92B85, and P8 ALE-UL00 before ALE-UL00B211 allows local users to cause a denial of service (OS crash) by leveraging camera permissions and via crafted input to the camera driver.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.52 & ownCloud Server before 9.0.4 are not properly verifying edit check permissions on WebDAV copy actions. The WebDAV endpoint was not properly checking the permission on a WebDAV COPY action. This allowed an authenticated attacker with access to a read-only share to put new files in there. It was not possible to modify existing files.
HashiCorp Vagrant VMware Fusion plugin (aka vagrant-vmware-fusion) before 4.0.24 uses weak permissions for the sudo helper scripts, allows local users to execute arbitrary code with root privileges by overwriting one of the scripts.
An issue was discovered in Veritas NetBackup Before 7.7 and NetBackup Appliance Before 2.7. There are world-writable log files, allowing destruction or spoofing of log data.
A vulnerability in the web-based user interface (web UI) of Cisco IOS XE 16.2 could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to elevate their privileges on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to incorrect default permission settings for new users who are created by using the web UI of the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using the web UI of the affected software to create a new user and then logging into the web UI as the newly created user. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to elevate their privileges on the affected device. This vulnerability affects Cisco devices that are running a vulnerable release Cisco IOS XE Software, if the HTTP Server feature is enabled for the device. The newly redesigned, web-based administration UI was introduced in the Denali 16.2 Release of Cisco IOS XE Software. This vulnerability does not affect the web-based administration UI in earlier releases of Cisco IOS XE Software. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCuy83062.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.55 and 10.0.2 suffers from a creation of folders in read-only folders despite lacking permissions issue. Due to a logical error in the file caching layer an authenticated adversary is able to create empty folders inside a shared folder. Note that this only affects folders and files that the adversary has at least read-only permissions for.
An issue was discovered in Logpoint 7.1 before 7.1.2. The daily executed cron file clean_secbi_old_logs is writable by all users and is executed as root, leading to privilege escalation.
Sourcecodester Human Resource Management System 1.0 is vulnerable to Insecure Permissions resulting in privilege escalation.
Insecure permission vulnerability in /hrm/leaverequest.php in SourceCodester Human Resource Management System 1.0 allow attackers to approve or reject leave ticket.
Sysmac Studio installs executables in a directory with poor permissions. This can allow a locally-authenticated attacker to overwrite files which will result in code execution with privileges of a different user.
Apiman 1.5.7 through 2.2.3.Final has insufficient checks for read permissions within the Apiman Manager REST API. The root cause of the issue is the Apiman project's accidental acceptance of a large contribution that was not fully compatible with the security model of Apiman versions before 3.0.0.Final. Because of this, 3.0.0.Final is not affected by the vulnerability.
Multiple Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation engineering software products have a malicious code execution vulnerability. A malicious attacker could use this vulnerability to obtain information, modify information, and cause a denial-of-service condition.
Delta Electronics DIAEnergie (All versions prior to 1.8.02.004) is vulnerable to an incorrect default permission in the DIAEnergie application, which may allow an attacker to plant new files (such as DLLs) or replace existing executable files.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability for multiple Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation Engineering Software Products of various versions could allow an attacker to escalate privilege and execute malicious programs, which could cause a denial-of-service condition, and allow information to be disclosed, tampered with, and/or destroyed.
The security descriptor of Measuresoft ScadaPro Server version 6.7 has inconsistent permissions, which could allow a local user with limited privileges to modify the service binary path and start malicious commands with SYSTEM privileges.
An issue was discovered in Elspec G5 digital fault recorder versions 1.1.4.15 and before. The shadow file is world readable.
