CVSS v3.1 |
| Addressable is an alternative implementation to the URI implementation that is part of Ruby's standard library. From 2.3.0 to before 2.9.0, within the URI template implementation in Addressable, two classes of URI template generate regular expressions vulnerable to catastrophic backtracking. Templates using the * (explode) modifier with any expansion operator (e.g., {foo*}, {+var*}, {#var*}, {/var*}, {.var*}, {;var*}, {?var*}, {&var*}) generate patterns with nested unbounded quantifiers that are O(2^n) when matched against a maliciously crafted URI. Templates using multiple variables with the + or # operators (e.g., {+v1,v2,v3}) generate patterns with O(n^k) complexity due to the comma separator being within the matched character class, causing ambiguous backtracking across k variables. When matched against a maliciously crafted URI, this can result in catastrophic backtracking and uncontrolled resource consumption, leading to denial of service. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.9.0. |
| Drizzle is a modern TypeScript ORM. Prior to 0.45.2 and 1.0.0-beta.20, Drizzle ORM improperly escaped quoted SQL identifiers in its dialect-specific escapeName() implementations. In affected versions, embedded identifier delimiters were not escaped before the identifier was wrapped in quotes or backticks. As a result, applications that pass attacker-controlled input to APIs that construct SQL identifiers or aliases, such as sql.identifier(), .as(), may allow an attacker to terminate the quoted identifier and inject SQL. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.45.2 and 1.0.0-beta.20. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: split cached_fid bitfields to avoid shared-byte RMW races
is_open, has_lease and on_list are stored in the same bitfield byte in
struct cached_fid but are updated in different code paths that may run
concurrently. Bitfield assignments generate byte read–modify–write
operations (e.g. `orb $mask, addr` on x86_64), so updating one flag can
restore stale values of the others.
A possible interleaving is:
CPU1: load old byte (has_lease=1, on_list=1)
CPU2: clear both flags (store 0)
CPU1: RMW store (old | IS_OPEN) -> reintroduces cleared bits
To avoid this class of races, convert these flags to separate bool
fields. |
| The Product Table and List Builder for WooCommerce Lite plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the 'search' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. |

| SimplePress CMS 1.0.7 contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries by injecting malicious code through the 'p' and 's' parameters. Attackers can send GET requests with crafted SQL payloads to extract sensitive database information including usernames, database names, and version details. |
