| CVE-2016-0736 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 4 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.0 to 2.4.23, mod_session_crypto was encrypting its data/cookie using the configured ciphers with possibly either CBC or ECB modes of operation (AES256-CBC by default), hence no selectable or builtin authenticated encryption. This made it vulnerable to padding oracle attacks, particularly with CBC. | ||||
| CVE-2016-7055 | 3 Nodejs, Openssl, Redhat | 3 Node.js, Openssl, Jboss Core Services | 2025-04-20 | 5.9 Medium |
| There is a carry propagating bug in the Broadwell-specific Montgomery multiplication procedure in OpenSSL 1.0.2 and 1.1.0 before 1.1.0c that handles input lengths divisible by, but longer than 256 bits. Analysis suggests that attacks against RSA, DSA and DH private keys are impossible. This is because the subroutine in question is not used in operations with the private key itself and an input of the attacker's direct choice. Otherwise the bug can manifest itself as transient authentication and key negotiation failures or reproducible erroneous outcome of public-key operations with specially crafted input. Among EC algorithms only Brainpool P-512 curves are affected and one presumably can attack ECDH key negotiation. Impact was not analyzed in detail, because pre-requisites for attack are considered unlikely. Namely multiple clients have to choose the curve in question and the server has to share the private key among them, neither of which is default behaviour. Even then only clients that chose the curve will be affected. | ||||
| CVE-2017-3736 | 2 Openssl, Redhat | 5 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 2 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| There is a carry propagating bug in the x86_64 Montgomery squaring procedure in OpenSSL before 1.0.2m and 1.1.0 before 1.1.0g. No EC algorithms are affected. Analysis suggests that attacks against RSA and DSA as a result of this defect would be very difficult to perform and are not believed likely. Attacks against DH are considered just feasible (although very difficult) because most of the work necessary to deduce information about a private key may be performed offline. The amount of resources required for such an attack would be very significant and likely only accessible to a limited number of attackers. An attacker would additionally need online access to an unpatched system using the target private key in a scenario with persistent DH parameters and a private key that is shared between multiple clients. This only affects processors that support the BMI1, BMI2 and ADX extensions like Intel Broadwell (5th generation) and later or AMD Ryzen. | ||||
| CVE-2016-2161 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 4 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.0 to 2.4.23, malicious input to mod_auth_digest can cause the server to crash, and each instance continues to crash even for subsequently valid requests. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9049 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictComputeFastKey function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for libxml2 Bug 759398. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7679 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 5 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 2 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Apache httpd 2.2.x before 2.2.33 and 2.4.x before 2.4.26, mod_mime can read one byte past the end of a buffer when sending a malicious Content-Type response header. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7245 | 2 Pcre, Redhat | 2 Pcre, Jboss Core Services | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in the pcre32_copy_substring function in pcre_get.c in libpcre1 in PCRE 8.40 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (WRITE of size 4) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7186 | 2 Pcre, Redhat | 3 Pcre, Pcre2, Jboss Core Services | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libpcre1 in PCRE 8.40 and libpcre2 in PCRE2 10.23 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation violation for read access, and application crash) by triggering an invalid Unicode property lookup. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000254 | 2 Haxx, Redhat | 3 Libcurl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9050 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictAddString function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-1839. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9048 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. At the end of the routine, the function may strcat two more characters without checking whether the current strlen(buf) + 2 < size. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9047 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A buffer overflow was discovered in libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. The variable len is assigned strlen(buf). If the content->type is XML_ELEMENT_CONTENT_ELEMENT, then (i) the content->prefix is appended to buf (if it actually fits) whereupon (ii) content->name is written to the buffer. However, the check for whether the content->name actually fits also uses 'len' rather than the updated buffer length strlen(buf). This allows us to write about "size" many bytes beyond the allocated memory. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2016-8743 | 4 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 1 more | 13 Http Server, Debian Linux, Clustered Data Ontap and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| Apache HTTP Server, in all releases prior to 2.2.32 and 2.4.25, was liberal in the whitespace accepted from requests and sent in response lines and headers. Accepting these different behaviors represented a security concern when httpd participates in any chain of proxies or interacts with back-end application servers, either through mod_proxy or using conventional CGI mechanisms, and may result in request smuggling, response splitting and cache pollution. | ||||
| CVE-2018-16840 | 3 Canonical, Haxx, Redhat | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Curl, Jboss Core Services | 2025-04-17 | 9.8 Critical |
| A heap use-after-free flaw was found in curl versions from 7.59.0 through 7.61.1 in the code related to closing an easy handle. When closing and cleaning up an 'easy' handle in the `Curl_close()` function, the library code first frees a struct (without nulling the pointer) and might then subsequently erroneously write to a struct field within that already freed struct. | ||||
| CVE-2016-1838 | 6 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 16 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 13 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The xmlPArserPrintFileContextInternal function in libxml2 before 2.9.4, as used in Apple iOS before 9.3.2, OS X before 10.11.5, tvOS before 9.2.1, and watchOS before 2.2.1, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read) via a crafted XML document. | ||||
| CVE-2016-8740 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 3 Http Server, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The mod_http2 module in the Apache HTTP Server 2.4.17 through 2.4.23, when the Protocols configuration includes h2 or h2c, does not restrict request-header length, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via crafted CONTINUATION frames in an HTTP/2 request. | ||||
| CVE-2015-0209 | 2 Openssl, Redhat | 5 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 2 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the d2i_ECPrivateKey function in crypto/ec/ec_asn1.c in OpenSSL before 0.9.8zf, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0r, 1.0.1 before 1.0.1m, and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2a might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a malformed Elliptic Curve (EC) private-key file that is improperly handled during import. | ||||
| CVE-2016-1836 | 6 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 16 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 13 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the xmlDictComputeFastKey function in libxml2 before 2.9.4, as used in Apple iOS before 9.3.2, OS X before 10.11.5, tvOS before 9.2.1, and watchOS before 2.2.1, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted XML document. | ||||
| CVE-2016-7167 | 3 Fedoraproject, Haxx, Redhat | 5 Fedora, Libcurl, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Multiple integer overflows in the (1) curl_escape, (2) curl_easy_escape, (3) curl_unescape, and (4) curl_easy_unescape functions in libcurl before 7.50.3 allow attackers to have unspecified impact via a string of length 0xffffffff, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6306 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Hp and 4 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Icewall Federation Agent and 8 more | 2025-04-12 | 5.9 Medium |
| The certificate parser in OpenSSL before 1.0.1u and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2i might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via crafted certificate operations, related to s3_clnt.c and s3_srvr.c. | ||||
