| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netlink: annotate lockless accesses to nlk->max_recvmsg_len
syzbot reported a data-race in data-race in netlink_recvmsg() [1]
Indeed, netlink_recvmsg() can be run concurrently,
and netlink_dump() also needs protection.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: phy: xgmiitorgmii: Fix refcount leak in xgmiitorgmii_probe
of_phy_find_device() return device node with refcount incremented.
Call put_device() to relese it when not needed anymore. |
| A vulnerability in the Layer 2 Ethernet services of Cisco IOS XR Software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause the line card network processor to reset, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to the incorrect handling of specific Ethernet frames that are received on line cards that have the Layer 2 services feature enabled. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specific Ethernet frames through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the ingress interface network processor to reset, resulting in a loss of traffic over the interfaces that are supported by the network processor. Multiple resets of the network processor would cause the line card to reset, resulting in a DoS condition. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/restrack: Release MR restrack when delete
The MR restrack also needs to be released when delete it, otherwise it
cause memory leak as the task struct won't be released. |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. The SoupWebsocketConnection may accept a large WebSocket message, which may cause libsoup to allocate memory and lead to a denial of service (DoS). |
| An issue in the USB Autorun function of HI-SCAN 6040i Hitrax HX-03-19-I allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via uploading a crafted script from a USB device. |
| Insufficient control flow management in the Linux kernel-mode driver for some Intel(R) 800 Series Ethernet before version 1.17.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Infomaniak Network VOD Infomaniak vod-infomaniak.This issue affects VOD Infomaniak: from n/a through <= 1.5.11. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
regulator: core: Use different devices for resource allocation and DT lookup
Following by the below discussion, there's the potential UAF issue
between regulator and mfd.
https://lore.kernel.org/all/20221128143601.1698148-1-yangyingliang@huawei.com/
From the analysis of Yingliang
CPU A |CPU B
mt6370_probe() |
devm_mfd_add_devices() |
|mt6370_regulator_probe()
| regulator_register()
| //allocate init_data and add it to devres
| regulator_of_get_init_data()
i2c_unregister_device() |
device_del() |
devres_release_all() |
// init_data is freed |
release_nodes() |
| // using init_data causes UAF
| regulator_register()
It's common to use mfd core to create child device for the regulator.
In order to do the DT lookup for init data, the child that registered
the regulator would pass its parent as the parameter. And this causes
init data resource allocated to its parent, not itself. The issue happen
when parent device is going to release and regulator core is still doing
some operation of init data constraint for the regulator of child device.
To fix it, this patch expand 'regulator_register' API to use the
different devices for init data allocation and DT lookup. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (XSS or 'Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Ofisimo Web-Based Software Technologies Association Web Package Flora allows XSS Through HTTP Headers.This issue affects Association Web Package Flora: from v3.0 through 03022026. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Voyager 1.3.0 contains a directory traversal vulnerability that allows attackers to access sensitive system files by manipulating the asset path parameter. Attackers can exploit the path parameter in /admin/voyager-assets to read arbitrary files like /etc/passwd and .env configuration files. |
| A double free vulnerability was found in QEMU virtio devices (virtio-gpu, virtio-serial-bus, virtio-crypto), where the mem_reentrancy_guard flag insufficiently protects against DMA reentrancy issues. This issue could allow a malicious privileged guest user to crash the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service or allow arbitrary code execution within the context of the QEMU process on the host. |
| A traversal vulnerability in GeneralDocs.aspx in CentralSquare CryWolf (False Alarm Management) through 2024-08-09 allows unauthenticated attackers to read files outside of the working web directory via the rpt parameter, leading to the disclosure of sensitive information. |
| Document Merge Service is a document template merge service providing an API to manage templates and merge them with given data. Versions 6.5.1 and prior are vulnerable to remote code execution via server-side template injection which, when executed as root, can result in full takeover of the affected system. As of time of publication, no patched version exists, nor have any known workarounds been disclosed. |
| Markright 1.0 contains a persistent cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows attackers to embed malicious payloads in markdown files. Attackers can upload specially crafted markdown files that execute arbitrary JavaScript when opened, potentially enabling remote code execution on the victim's system. |
| Insertion of Sensitive Information Into Sent Data vulnerability in ExtremePACS Extreme XDS allows Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data.This issue affects Extreme XDS: before 3933. |
| pyLoad is a free and open-source Download Manager written in pure Python. In version 0.5.0b3.dev89, an authenticated path traversal vulnerability exists in the /json/upload endpoint of pyLoad. By manipulating the filename of an uploaded file, an attacker can traverse out of the intended upload directory, allowing them to write arbitrary files to any location on the system accessible to the pyLoad process. This may lead to: Remote Code Execution (RCE), local privilege escalation, system-wide compromise, persistence, and backdoors. This is fixed in version 0.5.0b3.dev90. |
| A vulnerability was found in TRENDnet TEW-822DRE FW103B02. It has been classified as problematic. This affects an unknown part of the component vsftpd. The manipulation leads to least privilege violation. Attacking locally is a requirement. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability was found in TRENDnet TV-IP110WN 1.2.2 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /server/boa.conf of the component Embedded Boa Web Server. The manipulation leads to least privilege violation. Local access is required to approach this attack. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Use of unmaintained third party components for some Intel(R) Processor Identification Utility before version 8.0.43 within Ring 3: User Applications may allow an escalation of privilege. System software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable escalation of privilege. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (high), integrity (high) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. |
