CVSS v3.1 |
In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a buffer overflow can occur while reading firmware logs.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 8.3.1.21155. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of the xOsiz member of SIZ markers. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-5014.
The gig::Region::GetSampleFromWavePool function in gig.cpp in libgig 4.0.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid memory read and application crash) via a crafted gig file.
An Invalid memory address dereference was discovered in Exiv2::StringValueBase::read in value.cpp in Exiv2 0.26. The vulnerability causes a segmentation fault and application crash, which leads to denial of service.
STDU Viewer 1.6.375 allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .mobi file, related to a "Read Access Violation starting at STDUMOBIFile!DllUnregisterServer+0x000000000002efc0."
An issue was discovered in Adobe InDesign 12.1.0 and earlier versions. An exploitable memory corruption vulnerability exists. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
XnView Classic for Windows Version 2.40 allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute code via a crafted .mov file that is mishandled during the opening of a directory in "Browser" mode, because of a "User Mode Write AV near NULL" in XnView.exe.
Stack-based buffer overflow in the ipv6_addr_from_str function in sys/net/network_layer/ipv6/addr/ipv6_addr_from_str.c in RIOT prior to 2017-04-25 allows local attackers, and potentially remote attackers, to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a malformed IPv6 address.
tcpdump 4.9.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via crafted packet data. The crash occurs in the EXTRACT_16BITS function, called from the stp_print function for the Spanning Tree Protocol.
An issue was discovered on Accellion FTA devices before FTA_9_12_180. seos/1000/find.api allows Remote Code Execution with shell metacharacters in the method parameter.
Two errors in the "asn1_find_node()" function (lib/parser_aux.c) within GnuTLS libtasn1 version 4.10 can be exploited to cause a stacked-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into processing a specially crafted assignments file via the e.g. asn1Coding utility.
OpenSSL 1.0.2 (starting from version 1.0.2b) introduced an "error state" mechanism. The intent was that if a fatal error occurred during a handshake then OpenSSL would move into the error state and would immediately fail if you attempted to continue the handshake. This works as designed for the explicit handshake functions (SSL_do_handshake(), SSL_accept() and SSL_connect()), however due to a bug it does not work correctly if SSL_read() or SSL_write() is called directly. In that scenario, if the handshake fails then a fatal error will be returned in the initial function call. If SSL_read()/SSL_write() is subsequently called by the application for the same SSL object then it will succeed and the data is passed without being decrypted/encrypted directly from the SSL/TLS record layer. In order to exploit this issue an application bug would have to be present that resulted in a call to SSL_read()/SSL_write() being issued after having already received a fatal error. OpenSSL version 1.0.2b-1.0.2m are affected. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2n. OpenSSL 1.1.0 is not affected.
mspack/lzxd.c in libmspack 0.5alpha, as used in ClamAV 0.99.2, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted CHM file.
Buffer Overflow in Quest One Identity Privilege Manager for Unix before 6.0.0.061 allows remote attackers to obtain full access to the policy server via an ACT_ALERT_EVENT request that causes memory corruption in the pmmasterd daemon.
XnView Classic for Windows Version 2.40 might allow attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .rle file, related to "Data from Faulting Address controls Branch Selection starting at ntdll_77df0000!RtlpCoalesceFreeBlocks+0x00000000000001b6."
An exploitable buffer overflow exists in the XLS parsing of the Lexmark Perspective Document Filters conversion functionality. A crafted XLS document can lead to a stack based buffer overflow resulting in remote code execution.
H2O versions 2.0.3 and earlier and 2.1.0-beta2 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) via format string specifiers in a template file via fastcgi, mruby, proxy, redirect or reproxy.
Buffer overflows in networkmap on ASUS RT-N56U, RT-N66U, RT-AC66U, RT-N66R, RT-AC66R, RT-AC68U, RT-AC68R, RT-N66W, RT-AC66W, RT-AC87R, RT-AC87U, RT-AC51U, RT-AC68P, RT-N11P, RT-N12+, RT-N12E B1, RT-AC3200, RT-AC53U, RT-AC1750, RT-AC1900P, RT-N300, and RT-AC750 routers with firmware before 3.0.0.4.380.7378; RT-AC68W routers with firmware before 3.0.0.4.380.7266; and RT-N600, RT-N12+ B1, RT-N11P B1, RT-N12VP B1, RT-N12E C1, RT-N300 B1, and RT-N12+ Pro routers with firmware before 3.0.0.4.380.9488; and Asuswrt-Merlin firmware before 380.65_2 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the router via a long host or port in crafted multicast messages.
In the touch controller function in all Qualcomm products with Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, or QRD Android, a variable may be controlled by the user and can lead to a buffer overflow.
The compile_tree function in ef_compiler.c in the Etterfilter utility in Ettercap 0.8.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a crafted filter.
